FAQs
How do I get started?
Just click the “Book a Consult Call” button or fill out the contact form. From there, I’ll walk you through the next steps, so there’s nothing you need to figure out ahead of time. Reaching out is often the hardest part, and you’re already here.
What happens in a consult call?
It’s a free, 15-minute phone call to see whether we’re a good fit. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, you can ask anything that’s on your mind, and we’ll both get a feel for what working together might be like. No pressure, no commitment.
What can I expect in my first session?
Mostly, we’ll get to know each other. Sessions are 50 minutes, I’ll want to hear your story, what brought you here, and what you’re hoping might shift. We’ll start shaping some goals together, though they’re allowed to change as we go. You don’t need to have it all figured out, or even know where to begin.
Do you offer sessions in-person or online?
Both. If you’d like to meet face to face, my office is near Lake of the Isles at 2124 Dupont Ave S. in Minneapolis. If online works better for your life, I offer telehealth sessions for clients anywhere in Minnesota and New York. Some people like to mix it up, and that’s welcome too.
Do you take insurance?
I’m an out-of-network provider, which means you pay for sessions directly. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that can reimburse part of the cost, and I’m happy to provide the paperwork (called a superbill) you’d submit for reimbursement.
I have also partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.
Use the tool below to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services.
