About Me
Before I became a therapist, I dove headfirst into the tech startup world, first in Portland, then in New York City. I spent more than ten years at a New York startup and a global e-commerce company, doing interesting work and checking a lot of the "right" boxes.
Around 25, my life looked great on paper, and I couldn't shake the feeling that there had to be more. A therapist helped me learn to listen to myself in a way I never had before, and it felt like being handed a golden ticket. Learning to trust what I heard eventually led me here. Now I get to hold that door open for others.
I work with people in their 20s and 30s who are ready to stop performing and start excavating. Because I've lived it, I know the particular mix of thrill and disorientation that comes with moving to a new city, building a career, and figuring out your relationships, with family, partners, and yourself, all at once. And I bring a real-world understanding of work and career questions that a lot of therapists don't have.
In our work together, I'll be warm and I'll be direct. I might point something out early or invite an image into the room, and I'm just as happy holding space for heartbreak as I am talking about reality TV. You steer the ship. I'm not here to fix you. I'm here to help you hear what's true for you, and trust it enough to act on it.
If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much that you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.

At the heart of how I work is a deep respect for how complicated it is to be a person. I believe in people, and in our capacity to change, grow, and come more fully alive. Real change is rarely linear, and you deserve more than a one-size-fits-all fix.
What I offer instead is space: room to slow down and actually notice what's happening inside you. Together we'll get curious about the anxiety, the heartbreak, the restlessness, the feelings you've been pushing aside for years. Nothing you bring is too much or too dark. Grief, depression, the 3 a.m. "what am I doing with my life" spiral: that's exactly where I want to meet you. There's often something beautiful trying to emerge in the places we're most afraid to look.
I'll be warm, and I'll also be honest. If I notice something, I'll say it, even early on. I might invite a dream into the room, or ask what image comes up when you describe a feeling. Other days we'll just talk about your week. Both matter. I trust that psyche will show us where to go.
You steer. I'll point out what I see, help us slow down when something important is happening, and hold the questions with you as clues rather than problems to solve. I don't have your answers. I'm pretty sure you do, and my job is to help you hear them.
